Function / Content

This series consists of recordings of oral history interviews for the project Nurses and Midwives Caring for our Community, Stories Across Time conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Office of the Northern Territory Department of Health. The project commenced with interviews with nurses and midwives in Darwin following Cyclone Tracy. The project includes nurses and midwives in Alice Springs and Katherine who were involved in the evacuation effort, as well as nurses and midwives in Nhulunbuy and Remote Primary Health Centres in the Top End. This series has been recorded using in Broadcast Wave Format (BWF).
